Coding Educator - AMC PrimaryCare - Remote

Overview

The Coding Educator reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.

In Short

• Responsible for creating and delivering education to the Primary Care clinical team.
• Focus on outpatient Primary Care encounters including office/telemedicine E&M visits.
• Monthly monitoring of clinical dashboard for improvement in statistical targets.
• Communicates with Leadership to develop educational programs.
• Reviews and responds to coding questions.
• Identifies and secures interdepartmental support for education initiatives.
• Performs quality assurance reviews on coded services.
• Organizes and participates in monthly meetings.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or similar certification.
• 2 to 5 years’ experience in a relevant role.
• 94% accuracy on organization’s coding test.
