Software/Operations Allrounder - Remote

Overview

We are looking for a Software/Operations Allrounder to strengthen our backend team, who not only writes code but actively shapes our backend universe in both software and operational aspects.

In Short

• Design and optimize performant, innovative software for an ultimate gaming experience
• Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code following best practices
• Modernize existing systems to future-proof our technology stack
• Plan, develop, and deploy new services via RESTful APIs
• Collaborate on large, cross-functional development projects
• Ensure that every deployment is reliable, tested, resilient, and monitored
• Maintain and develop deployment code including CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab)
• Set up and maintain modern logging and observability solutions
• Automate workflows to enhance reliability and developer experience
• Actively participate in development with Ruby and Go

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in software development or as a DevOps engineer
• Practical experience with Ruby and Go as well as in the DevOps field
• Knowledge in GitLab, Kubernetes, Docker, SQL, Bash, and Redis
• Experience with Grafana, GitLab pipelines, Helm deployments, and Elasticsearch logs
• Open to on-call duty
• Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken
• Interest and basic understanding of the gaming industry
• Well organized, team-oriented, and with a creative mindset
• Bonus: Experience in developing websites and web applications
