Senior Backend Engineer - Remote

Overview

As a Senior Backend Engineer at NinjaTrader, you will play a critical role in designing and building the server-side systems that power our community features and Add-On framework.

In Short

• Architect, implement, and optimize backend services and APIs using Rust and Kubernetes.
• Collaborate with front-end teams and product managers to define technical requirements.
• Build and maintain microservices for high availability and scalability.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for production systems.
• Drive continuous improvement in code quality and deployment pipelines.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of engineering excellence.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in backend or full-stack software development.
• Proficiency in high-level programming languages (Node.js, C#, Java, Go, Rust).
• Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Kubernetes.
• Strong knowledge of database systems and caching strategies.
• Experience building and optimizing microservices and APIs.
• Understanding of event-driven systems and message queues.
• Ability to design secure and scalable backend solutions.
• Excellent communication and mentoring skills.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
