Overview

The Director/Senior Director, Legal (Contracts) serves as a primary internal legal resource for NiKang Therapeutics, supporting the company’s contracting needs across research, clinical, manufacturing, and business operations.

In Short

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of agreements, focusing on MSAs, work orders, CDAs, CTAs, CDMO/CRO agreements, and ICFs.
• Provide timely legal guidance on contract terms, risks, obligations, and negotiation strategy.
• Manage and monitor the company’s contracts throughout their lifecycle.
• Support compliance processes and training related to contracting.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with various teams to support business goals.
• Support transactional matters related to vendors and service providers.
• Coordinate with external counsel for specialized issues.
• Develop or support training on contracting processes and legal principles.
• Provide clear, practical legal advice to support business decision-making.
• Perform additional legal duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate (JD) and active membership in good standing with a state bar.
• 7-10 years of legal experience, including hands-on experience in contract drafting and negotiation.
• Experience in contracting for clinical research or technology-oriented operations preferred.
• Expertise in contract negotiations, life sciences collaborations, and regulatory compliance.
• Highly organized with strong drafting skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Collaborative working style with the ability to build strong relationships.
• Demonstrated discretion and sound judgment.

Benefits

• Annual base salary between $230,000 to $290,000.
