Deal Desk Analyst - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Deal Desk Analyst to join our team at [Mortgage Company Name]. This position plays a critical role in reviewing underwriting guidelines across multiple mortgage product types including Conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, Jumbo, and Non-QM loans. The successful candidate will act as a liaison between the Sales, Underwriting, and Investor teams, ensuring that mortgage deals are in compliance with guidelines and are structured effectively for approval.

• Review and ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines across all mortgage types.
• Serve as a key liaison between the Sales, Underwriting, and Investor teams.
• Analyze and evaluate loan scenarios for proper structuring.
• Provide feedback and support to Sales teams on loan products.
• Assist in resolving complex underwriting issues.
• Collaborate with underwriting teams for efficient loan approvals.
• Maintain knowledge of changes in underwriting guidelines.

• Track deal performance and ensure documentation accuracy.
• Address post-closing issues that may arise.

Requirements

• Previous experience at an independent mortgage bank preferred.
• Experience in mortgage underwriting with knowledge of loan types.
• Proficiency in mortgage loan guidelines and documentation.
• Ability to analyze complex loan structures.
• Strong communication skills for collaboration.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in the mortgage industry.
