Overview

The Accountant is responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting financial decision-making. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining accurate financial statements, reconciling accounts, and optimizing accounting processes. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work cross-functionally with finance, operations, and leadership teams.

In Short

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports.
  • Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
  • Process journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
  • Assist with audits, tax filings, and other financial reviews.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support financial reporting and decision-making.
  • Preference for a full CPA, preferably with prior experience in bookkeeping for restaurants, or, if not, experience working for a large multinational accounting firm.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in accounting or a related role.
  • Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting principles.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and organizational abilities.
  • CPA or working towards CPA certification.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as QuickBooks.
  • Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in financial analysis and reporting.
