Overview

The Director, Publishers will be a key player in driving the sales initiatives for MRI-Simmons to grow our Insights, Planning and Advanced Advertising business, with solutions including data enrichment, multi-platform media planning and activation.

In Short

  • Build and manage strong relationships with senior stakeholders at major publishing houses.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling new products or services within existing accounts.
  • Be a trusted partner to our customers, managing QBRs and Annual business reviews.
  • Negotiate, execute, and set commercial terms for renewal and new opportunities.
  • Partner with product, marketing, and analytics teams to deliver custom solutions.
  • Manage internal sales processes to ensure all CRM data is up to date.
  • Work with Operations/Development to determine data or software requirements.
  • Provide guidance in advanced data-driven opportunities.
  • Stay current on industry trends in measurement and data privacy.
  • Represent the company at industry events as a thought leader.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 5-8 years of experience in sales or business development in marketing research.
  • Proactive and driven sales approach.
  • Ability to communicate value of advanced data solutions.
  • Strong understanding of the Digital/Advanced Advertising Ecosystem.
  • Proven success managing accounts with major publishers.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills with complex contracts.
  • Excellent consultative selling skills.
  • Collaborative team player.
