Niantic’s Engineering Team is searching for a Software Engineer / Senior Software Engineer to develop and refine advanced mapping and geospatial data services that support our games, applications, and the Lightship developer community.

In Short

Build and maintain scalable map data pipelines.
Innovate and maintain services and APIs for delivering POIs and semantic map data.
Collaborate with various teams and stakeholders.
Perform code reviews and maintain high coding standards.
Contribute to the entire product release cycle.
Troubleshoot and optimize performance for map-related services.
Collaborate with cross-functional team members.
Required in-office 3 days a week.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related field.
4+ years of experience in software engineering.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, JavaScript, or Python.
Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms.
Familiarity with cloud services and containerization technologies.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced hybrid environment.
Experience working on cross-functional teams.
