Senior Computer Vision Software Engineer - Remote

Overview

Niantic’s Augmented Reality (AR) Mapping team seeks a Senior Computer Vision Software Engineer to help build the 3D world maps that are the foundation for Niantic’s real world Metaverse and push the frontiers of Computer Vision and Machine Learning.

In Short

• Design, develop and maintain production computer vision systems.
• Collaborate multi-functionally with products, operations and other engineering teams.
• Optimize complexity and time of solutions for cloud and/or mobile.
• Implement high performant solutions to complex problems.
• Work with research team to evaluate and productionise solutions.
• Participate in meetings with cross-functional team members.
• Required in-office 2 days on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Requirements

• BS, MS or PhD in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in developing algorithms for image processing.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced hybrid environment.
• Experience on cross-functional teams with effective communication skills.
• Experience writing and maintaining production code in C++.
• Experience in 3D computer vision problems.
