Overview

The Receptionist at the Rehabilitation Hospital of the Cape and Islands plays a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth operations by managing calls and greeting visitors.

In Short

  • Operate a multi-call telephone system and direct calls appropriately.
  • Greet patients, visitors, and vendors, ensuring proper badging.
  • Maintain telephone and visitor records.
  • Perform routine clerical tasks such as light typing.
  • Provide information about patient locations.
  • Assist with taxi and parking services.
  • Implement security procedures and ensure health protocols.
  • Act as a concierge or information associate as needed.
  • Work on-site at the rehabilitation hospital.
  • Part-time position (24 hours per week).

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • 0-1 year of receptionist experience preferred.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent patient/customer service skills.
  • Willingness to learn new software systems.
  • Strong follow-up and resolution skills.
