Senior Automation QA Engineer - Remote

Overview

Netgear is seeking an experienced Senior Automation QA Engineer to develop, execute, and maintain test automation frameworks and scripts for our Pro AV switch products.

In Short

• Develop robust and reusable Python-based automation test scripts.
• Build end-to-end UI automation and CLI-based automation for network switch products.
• Implement API-level automation testing.
• Collaborate with QA teams to analyze and optimize test cases.
• Execute automated test suites and analyze failures.
• Support regression testing as part of product release cycles.
• Set up and maintain automation testbeds.
• Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines.
• Document defects using bug-tracking tools like JIRA.
• Enhance automation coverage as new features are introduced.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in networking product testing.
• Strong Python programming skills.
• Hands-on experience with automation frameworks.
• Familiarity with L2 networking protocols.
• Experience in network-related application testing.
• Strong knowledge of Linux-based test environments.
• Knowledge of REST APIs and experience writing API test automation scripts.
• Familiarity with Packet capture tools.
• Knowledge of Docker, Jenkins, and Ansible for testbed automation.
• Prior experience in Pro AV or multimedia switching products is a plus.
