Overview

The Regional Medical Director provides cross-market clinical leadership and oversight, ensuring excellence in care delivery across Nest Health's growing footprint.

In Short

• Provides leadership and oversight to APP Pod Leaders across multiple Nest markets.
• Oversees contracted physicians for collaborative practice agreements or virtual care.
• Fosters clinical excellence through regular engagement with market teams.
• Supports hiring, onboarding, and professional development of clinical team members.
• Partners with operational leaders to improve access, quality, and cost outcomes.
• Helps define and monitor clinical performance metrics related to value-based care.
• Participates in interdisciplinary care coordination and case review processes.
• Collaborates with external partners to promote the Nest model.
• Provides limited virtual direct patient care as needed.
• Travels regularly to Nest markets for clinical oversight and team engagement.

Requirements

• Board Certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine & Pediatrics required.
• Active and unrestricted medical license in at least one Nest Health state.
• Active DEA registration and eligibility to supervise collaborative practice agreements.
• Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in primary care.
• Experience managing advanced practice providers and/or physicians preferred.
• Familiarity with value-based care and interdisciplinary team-based care models.
• Strong communication skills and emotional intelligence.
• Mission-driven with a commitment to improving care for underserved families.
• Willingness to travel regularly and provide occasional virtual patient care.
