Senior Software Engineer, Digital Pathology - Remote

Overview

As a Sr. Software Engineer, Digital Pathology you will be responsible for designing and implementing the end-to-end “digital backbone” of the NeoGenomics Digital Pathology ecosystem, serving as the primary technical bridge between external Image Management Systems (IMS), computational pathology and Image Analysis (IA) algorithms, internal LIMS, and the enterprise data warehouse (Snowflake/Azure).

In Short

• Fully remote position with a Monday – Friday, day shift.
• Design and implement integration layers for Image Management Systems.
• Maintain API middleware and microservices strategy.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering teams for data pipelines.
• Define technical standards for data interoperability.
• Design tiered storage solutions for digital pathology assets.
• Implement secure data exchanges aligned with HIPAA and GDPR.
• Partner with Bioinformatics and AI teams for inference pipelines.
• Lead technical root cause analysis for integration failures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent required.
• 5+ years of experience in software architecture and systems integration.
• Expertise in designing integrations for Digital Pathology and Imaging systems.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Snowflake.
• Track record of implementing healthcare interoperability standards.
• Experience integrating AI/ML models into clinical workflows.
• Mastery of API design and event-driven architecture.
• Fluency in .NET, C#, Blazor, and SQL.
• Experience with Azure and AWS cloud environments.
