Manager, Advocacy - Remote

Overview

The Manager, Advocacy is responsible for implementing and supporting strategic, multi-faceted advocacy campaigns and initiatives to engage key stakeholders on NAMI's priority issues and advocacy initiatives.

In Short

• Manage day-to-day logistics of advocacy projects.
• Develop tools and resources for advocates and partners.
• Serve as project manager for advocacy campaigns.
• Support NAMI-led campaign partnerships.
• Draft and manage content for advocacy campaign websites.
• Develop social media content for NAMI channels.
• Communicate with NAMI state and local leaders.
• Serve as a national trainer for NAMI Smarts for Advocacy.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
• 3-5 years of experience in grassroots advocacy preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong project management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Experience in building relationships with diverse groups.
• Proficiency in content management systems a plus.
• Ability to respond effectively to challenges.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Must pass background check.
