In Short

• Provide technical leadership for the Tissue team while maintaining hands-on involvement in development.
• Drive technical design, architecture decisions, and implementation strategies for tissue processing systems.
• Establish and maintain engineering best practices around TypeScript, Node.js, React/Next.js, GraphQL, and event-driven architectures.
• Oversee development of the Tissue platform, ensuring high availability and reliability.
• Manage project priorities, deadlines, and resources while maintaining technical excellence.
• Lead Agile ceremonies with a focus on continuous improvement and team efficiency.
• Guide the career development of engineers, with a focus on full-stack development expertise.
• Work closely with Product Management and stakeholders to define and deliver key capabilities in tissue processing.
• Drive continuous improvement in our event-driven architecture and microservices approach.
• Optimize development processes while maintaining high-quality standards.

Requirements

• 3+ years of proven track record building and managing high-performance engineering teams.
• 7+ years of hands-on development experience with TypeScript and Node.js in a production environment.
• Strong expertise in event-driven architecture and message processing.
• Experience with GraphQL API design and implementation.
• Extensive experience with AWS services and microservice architecture.
• Experience leading teams building secure, scalable backend and front-end services.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD practices and infrastructure as code.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
