Overview

Marqeta is looking for a highly motivated Account Executive who is passionate about scaling the success of our Fintech business. This exciting role is ideal for individuals seeking to go deep in all aspects of complex business and technical engagements and will span multiple areas of development: (1) cultivating and managing relationships with executives and entrepreneurs seeking to develop best-in-class payment products; (2) working closely with internal stakeholders in Product, Legal, Compliance and Delivery to define solutions that will empower our customers; and (3) originating new customer opportunities, responding to inbound opportunities, and shepherding deals from opening through to contract and closing stage.

In Short

  • Leads in closing and launching strategic customers.
  • Qualify leads and prioritize customer opportunities.
  • Run a Sales Process from initial engagement to final contract negotiations.
  • Work with Legal team on contracting process.
  • Quickly understand Marqeta's technical capabilities.
  • Sell the partnership vision to prospects.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in sales, partnerships, or strategic business development.
  • Payments experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with the fintech ecosystem and B2B technology applications.
  • Strong financial acumen and problem-solving skills.
  • Superior communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or comparable experience required.
