NextGen Core Services Manage & Operate Technologist - Remote

Overview

This position is for a NextGen Core Services Manage & Operate Technologist responsible for ensuring the integrity of emergency communication systems.

In Short

• Remote position open to candidates based in the US.
• Resolve technical issues and escalations.
• Conduct upgrades, patches, and firmware updates.
• Perform end-to-end troubleshooting of 911 packet data.
• Participate in 24x7x365 on-call rotation.
• Document changes and present to Change Control Board.
• Proactively monitor Data Centers.
• Generate templates and Knowledge Base articles.
• Work with internal resources for system audits.
• Identify Best Practices and Lessons Learned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a Mission Critical environment.
• Knowledge of networking protocols and security solutions.
• Experience with Firewalls, Load Balancers, DNS, Switches, Routers.
• Certifications in routing, switching, & network security preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Able to multitask in demanding environments.
• Experience with VMware and Microsoft Hyper-V.
• Knowledge of SQL Server and other technologies is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
