Business Affairs Manager - Remote

Overview

Monks is on the lookout for one (1) Business Affairs Manager to join the in-house Legal & Business Affairs team, which works closely together with our content production teams.

In Short

• This is primarily a remote role, but you will work with clients and other team members across North America.
• You will strategize and advise on all Business Affairs matters related to the production of work for an iconic automotive brand.
• The role involves creative review, budgeting, contract review, and rights management.
• You will provide production support to all Monks entities in the Americas.
• You will negotiate various production-related agreements and advise on network compliance.
• You will handle talent for both SAG Union and Non-Union productions.
• You will work closely with the internal legal team on various clearance matters.
• You will report into the Director of Business Affairs.
• The ideal candidate will be proactive and able to work under pressure.
• This job will allow you to develop your skill set in an international work environment.

Requirements

• At least 3-5 years of professional experience, preferably within the digital production industry.
• Demonstrable skills in strategic Business Affairs.
• Fluent in English; other language skills are a bonus.
• Excellent organizational and administrative skills.
• Experience with content and media production and right clearance.
• In-depth knowledge of SAG-AFTRA Commercials Contract.
• Flexibility and willingness to take on new tasks.
• Confidence in business/commercial awareness.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work under tight deadlines.
