Lead Software Engineer - Remote

Overview

MongoDB is seeking a Lead Software Engineer with advanced software engineering skills and experience in code modernization & building tools that can traverse code structures programmatically. You will be pivotal in a product engineering group dedicated to helping users navigate code conversion challenges with AI's support.

In Short

• 7+ years in building large scale enterprise applications preferably in Java.
• Experience using Relational Databases such as Oracle, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server or PostgreSQL.
• Experience with tools and methodologies for code analysis, refactoring, and automated testing.
• Experience leading a large scale application migration project is a plus.
• Good understanding of Generative AI concepts, tools, and services is a big plus.
• Strong interest in how AI-supported toolchains can improve application development.
• Capable of juggling coding and management tasks.
• Experience across the Python stack and enthusiasm to learn new technologies.
• Excellent communication skills within the team and in customer meetings.
• Experience working with remote teams and agile development processes.
