Software Engineer - AI Team - Remote

Overview

You’ll be joining our Mitratech AI team, working on several API and UI components that are core to our AI features across Mitratech. We focus on delivering high quality (low escaped defects), well tested, secure (scanned and verified), scalable (AWS, but hardware isn’t the answer), software that delivers exceptional experiences for our clients. In Short

• Build subject matter expertise on your team’s code base and platform.
• Write clean, production-ready code that is easily understood and well tested.
• Do no harm and leave it better than you found it when refactoring components.
• Serve in an on-call rotation and respond promptly to any production issues.
• Be a teammate, communicate well, show up when expected, and be available.
• Write secure code and avoid introducing vulnerabilities.
• Work in an agile development model and participate in sprint planning.
• Participate in team meetings in the evening to coordinate with team members in India.
• Build reliable observability; monitor and log alerts.
• Help other teammates resolve complex problems.

Requirements

• Possess a bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience.
• Have a minimum of 5 years of software engineering experience developing SaaS applications.
• Proficiency with FastAPI, Flask, and Python.
• Must have proficiency with AWS systems.
• Advanced knowledge of Git source control.
• Proficiency with code coverage and unit testing frameworks.
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and their security aspects.
• Advanced experience with database queries and SQL.
• Knowledge of caching systems (Redis, Memcache).
• Familiar with queueing systems (SQS).
