Software Engineer - Ads Team - Remote

Overview

Hive is launching a brand new Ads team, and we’re looking for a second engineer to help build it from the ground up! As one of the founding members, you’ll have an opportunity to shape not only the product, but the team.

In Short

• You rapidly build new features that users will love, continuously refining them based on feedback.
• Contribute to code reviews, technical spec reviews, technical planning, and architectural decision-making.
• Be able to take responsibility and ownership of projects from start to finish.
• Take part in technical planning and architectural decision-making.
• Find solutions to optimize bottle-necks and general system wide performance.
• Collaborate with team members on designing scalable web architecture, including APIs and backend systems.
• Work directly with our customer success team to solve customer-impacting problems.

Requirements

• 3+ years of building highly performant software systems.
• You are fuelled by curiosity and thrive on the excitement of working in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience collaborating closely with Product & Design to design, implement and iterate on high impact end-to-end product experiences.
• You’re able to design and articulate simple solutions to complex problems.
• You’ve seen the inner workings of how software is made by a team on a shared codebase.
• You've thrived in remote settings, excelling in async communication, independent work, and time management.
• Legally able to work within Canada.
