Compliance Manager - Remote

Overview

The Compliance Manager implements and administers programs, policies, and practices to ensure that the organization complies with all applicable accreditation and regulatory standards.

In Short

• Monitors and administers compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Acts as a liaison to government agencies and coordinates site visits for regulators.
• Investigates potential compliance violations and takes corrective action as necessary.
• Provides communication and awareness training of the organization's policies and procedures as they relate to patient care.
• Identifies and mitigates compliance risks across the organization.
• Assist in preventing, detecting and if necessary, reporting ethical and criminal misconduct.
• Briefs leadership on compliance issues and program status.
• Supports day-to-day program operations.
• Performs other position related duties as assigned.
• Adheres to high standards of ethical conduct and complies with all applicable laws and regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 5+ years of experience in compliance, law, audit, or a related field.
• Prior work experience in a healthcare privacy and/or compliance role.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage deadlines.
• Demonstrated understanding of compliance programmatic elements and best practices.
• Skill in using computer programs and applications including Microsoft Office.
• Complies with HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality.
