Overview

Michael Baker International is seeking a Senior Project Manager - Traffic Engineering to develop and maintain trusted adviser relationships with clients while leading a team in transportation infrastructure projects.

In Short

• Lead a team of engineers and project managers in transportation infrastructure projects.
• Deliver projects per agreed plan, budget, and quality objectives.
• Mentor staff and oversee budgets and schedules.
• Engage with the New Jersey and New York transportation community.
• Coordinate with transportation staff across multiple offices.
• Participate in Emerging Technology projects.
• Work with local, statewide, and regional clients.
• Ensure QA/QC practices for all traffic work.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 20+ years of traffic and/or roadway design experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in NJ and/or NY required.
• Experience with NJDOT, NYSDOT, or other regional clients.
• Demonstrated supervisory and mentoring skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong track record of successful project delivery.
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment.
• Drive to be a leader in the company and community.
• Strong engineering judgment and strive for quality.
