Project Manager II, Traffic Engineering - Remote

Overview

The Professional Engineer (Project Manager II) will develop various transportation plans and perform traffic operational analyses as part of the Transportation team at Michael Baker International.

In Short

• Manage and carry out traffic tasks on design projects.
• Prepare scopes and fees for traffic engineering tasks.
• Conduct business development activities.
• Work on transportation infrastructure projects for Caltrans and local agencies.
• Manage junior staff as their direct supervisor.
• Occasional travel to other local offices may be required.
• Provide innovative solutions to transportation challenges.
• Utilize knowledge and skills to support project teams.
• Prepare technical proposals.
• Coordinate with colleagues across the region.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• 10-12+ years of traffic engineering and ITS design experience.
• California P.E. certification; T.E. and/or PTOE certification is a plus.
• Experience with Caltrans and local municipalities.
• Proficient in MicroStation, AutoCAD, and traffic operations software.
• Experience with traffic signal timing is a plus.
• Proficient in preparing technical reports.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to manage and prioritize project assignments.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
