Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of multi-specialty coding experience.
  • 1-3 years of surgical coding experience.
  • Certified Coding Specialist or equivalent certification required.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and disease processes.
  • Proficiency in Windows based software applications.
  • Ability to audit charts for accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
