Mid-Level Quality Assurance (QA) Tester - Remote

Overview

MetaPhase is seeking a detail-oriented, curious, and proactive Mid-Level Quality Assurance (QA) Tester to join our software development team supporting a federal agency. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in both manual and automated testing within an Agile environment.

• Identify defects and collaborate closely with web developers, data engineers, and client stakeholders.
• Drive quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform various types of testing including functional, usability, load, and performance testing.
• Document test results and report defects using tracking tools.
• Contribute to process improvement by suggesting enhancements to QA workflows.

Requirements

• A minimum of five (5) years of professional work experience.
• At least three (3+) years of software testing (manual and/or automated) experience.
• Experience creating, executing, and maintaining test cases, test scripts, and test plans.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and QA methodologies.
• Familiarity with defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
