Quality Assurance Tester Level 2 - Remote

Overview

Orangutech is seeking an experienced Tester (Level 2) to support the development and implementation of testing strategies for federal software initiatives, starting with the Homeless Individuals and Families Information System (HIFIS).

In Short

• Develop and execute test strategies, master test plans, and detailed test scripts
• Conduct manual testing (unit, integration, system, regression, UAT) and eventually support automation
• Design and maintain an automated testing framework for regression testing
• Identify, document, and report defects; collaborate with developers to resolve issues
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups and sprint planning
• Track and report on test progress and quality metrics
• Maintain up-to-date test documentation and contribute to team knowledge sharing

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience testing IT systems or applications
• Hands-on experience with test case execution, defect logging, and reporting
• At least 1 year of experience working in an Agile environment
• Strong communication skills in English (oral and written)
• Must reside in Canada and hold a valid Reliability security clearance
• Availability for weekly remote meetings and monthly progress reporting
