Junior Back-End Drupal Developer - Remote

Overview

MetaPhase is seeking a Junior Back-End Drupal Developer with foundational experience in server-side web development to join our cross-functional Agile team. In this role, you will support the creation, enhancement, and integration of back-end Drupal functionality, APIs, and data workflows that power a mission-critical federal program.

In Short

• Develop and maintain custom Drupal 9/10 modules, hooks, and services.
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs and data services.
• Configure and optimize Drupal’s backend architecture.
• Implement and maintain database structures and migrations.
• Collaborate with front-end developers for seamless integration.
• Ensure compliance with federal security and accessibility requirements.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies.
• Assist with troubleshooting and debugging.
• Maintain technical documentation.

Requirements

• 0–2+ years of experience in back-end web development.
• Experience with Drupal module development and PHP programming.
• Understanding of Drupal’s API architecture and entity system.
• Experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with REST API design and integration.
• Comfort with Git-based version control workflows.
• Ability to work in a collaborative Agile environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
