Finance Associate - Remote

Overview

Metabase is seeking a Finance Associate to support financial workflows, analyze data, oversee bookkeepers, and drive audit and tax initiatives in a rapidly growing company.

In Short

• Implement systems for managing financial operations at scale
• Manage month-end-close process with external accountants
• Project-manage and liaise with external financial auditors
• Perform ad-hoc data analyses for tax submissions
• Own expense processes and procedures
• Lead cross-functional projects to solve operational problems
• Contribute wherever needed in a small team environment

Requirements

• Strong analytical skills and operational mindset
• Experience leading complex projects with multiple deadlines
• Adept at managing vendors and building relationships
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• 2-5 years of experience in startup, consulting, or finance
• Based in the US or Canada
• Low-ego attitude towards tasks
• Familiarity with accounting principles (nice-to-have)
• Knowledge of SQL or scripting languages (nice-to-have)
