Proposal Development Consultant - Private Sector Focused - Remote

Overview

The Proposal Development Consultant will lead the development and writing of innovative project concept notes for Mercy Corps, focusing on private sector investment in Central Asia.

In Short

• Lead the development and writing of 2-4 concept notes.
• Conduct desk research to inform proposals.
• Draft proposals for discussion with regional and country teams.
• Engage in discussions and design sessions with stakeholders.
• Write high-quality funding proposals in English.
• Flexible working hours with occasional meetings required.
• Fully remote consultancy with option to work from Tashkent.
• Consultant to start as soon as possible, with deliverables due before August 2025.
• Maximum budget for consultancy is USD 8,000.
• Report to the Regional Business Development Senior Advisor for Asia.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field (Master’s preferred).
• 5-10 years of experience in Market System Development or Private Sector Development.
• Experience with SMEs and understanding of private sector in Central Asia.
• Knowledge of International Finance Institutions and private sector finance instruments.
• Experience designing and writing funding proposals in English.
