Database Officer - Remote

Overview

The Database Officer will execute complex data requests in support of fundraising teams, ensuring accurate and up-to-date constituent data in Mercy Corps’ donor database, Raiser’s Edge.

• Manage data file exchanges with external vendors.
• Produce queries and reports analyzing fundraising efforts.
• Maintain documentation for database management processes.
• Support emergency fundraising with ad hoc database requests.
• Liaise with IT to troubleshoot database issues.
• Co-lead Raiser’s Edge training across departments.
• Support various functions during emergencies.
• Ensure accuracy in donor record management.
• Develop process flows for database operations.
• Collaborate with teams for effective fundraising strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or relevant experience.
• 1+ years in non-profits.
• 2+ years with Raiser’s Edge or similar database.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent customer service orientation.
• Solid Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
