Observability Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Observability Engineer will manage, maintain, and optimize Medline’s enterprise AppDynamics SaaS monitoring platform, ensuring high application availability and providing insights to improve performance and resilience.

• Manage AppDynamics platform as an administrator.
• Ensure application availability and performance monitoring.
• Proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Train IT staff on AppDynamics usage.
• Collaborate with Cisco for platform support.
• Maintain awareness of competing APM solutions.
• Prepare and deliver reports on monitoring metrics.
• Support integrations for alerting workflows.
• Evaluate tools for continuous improvement.
• Document AppDynamics deployments and standards.

Requirements

• 3+ years managing AppDynamics/APM environments.
• Strong problem investigation and resolution skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Familiarity with IT Service Management practices.
• General knowledge of Windows and Linux administration.
• Experience writing SQL queries.
• Knowledge of Azure Cloud and networking concepts.
• Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred.
• Certification in AppDynamics or ITIL v4 Foundation preferred.
• Scripting experience (Python preferred).
