Senior Software Engineer - Universal Search - Remote

In Short

• Lead end-to-end system design for a new universal search experience across RMS, CAD, and core components.
• Extend platform configurability and connectivity to tap new search data sources.
• Review pull requests for enhancements to authorization layer and index mappings.
• Act as release manager, coordinating deployment logistics and ensuring smooth updates.
• Own the delivery of features supporting permission-aware global search filtering.
• Mentor junior engineers and coach teammates on technical debt prioritization.
• Participate in on-call rotation and lead Root Cause Analysis for search query failures.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional experience in backend engineering.
• Proficiency in Java or TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Experience with third-party systems supporting search functionality.
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures (Amazon SNS, SQS, Kinesis).
• Strong AWS services experience (Lambda, API Gateway, etc.).
• Understanding of indexing strategies and query optimization.
• Comfort with CI/CD workflows and Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
• Excellent communication skills.
