Overview

Mark43 is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help shape the future of 3rd party search and data integration, building and scaling systems for their universal search platform.

In Short

• Lead end-to-end system design for a new universal search experience.
• Extend platform configurability and connectivity to new search data sources.
• Review pull requests for enhancements to the authorization layer.
• Act as release manager, coordinating deployment logistics.
• Own the delivery of a feature supporting permission-aware global search filtering.
• Mentor junior engineers and manage technical debt.
• Participate in on-call rotation and drive improvements in system observability.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional experience in backend development.
• Proficiency in Java or TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Experience with third-party systems for search functionality.
• Familiarity with AWS services and event-driven architectures.
• Understanding of indexing strategies and query optimization.
• Comfort with CI/CD workflows and Infrastructure-as-Code.
• Excellent communication skills.
