Overview

The Teller specializes in providing exceptional customer service at our branch through digital engagement, lobby management, and efficient transactional processing.

In Short

• Process a variety of financial transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Provide a differentiated customer experience by understanding customer needs.
• Engage in lobby management and proactively assist customers.
• Take ownership of escalated service issues until resolution.
• Educate customers about self-service opportunities.
• Complete branch-related operational activities such as cash ordering and ATM management.
• Adhere to compliance and operational risk controls.
• Maintain internal control standards and address audit points.
• Promote an inclusive environment reflecting the M&T Bank brand.
• Complete other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Minimum of 6 months customer service experience.
• Proven verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Exceptional customer service abilities.
• Proficient with internet user-level technology.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Bilingual based on branch needs (preferred).
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift objects weighing up to 30 lbs.
• Ability to read fine print.
• Flexibility and adaptability in a customer-centric environment.
