Mama Money is a growth stage fintech startup focused on helping migrant workers in South Africa send money home. We are seeking a Senior QA Engineer to ensure our products meet the highest standards and champion a quality-first approach within our agile development team.

In Short

• Champion a quality-first approach within the agile development team.
• Involved in the entire software development life cycle.
• Formulate test strategies and document test scenarios.
• Execute test cases, identify and log bugs.
• Drive automation efforts for new and existing features.
• Work with various testing tools and methodologies.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure understanding of requirements.
• Maintain test suites and serve as the team’s automation expert.
• Influence software quality beyond your team.
• Onboard all tools and processes in the first 90 days.

Requirements

• 5–8+ years of experience as a QA tester in Agile environments.
• Experience in developing test strategies and writing test cases.
• Strong SQL skills and familiarity with relational database tools.
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Proficiency with version control systems like Git.
• Hands-on experience using API tools like Swagger and Postman.
• Experience with scripting in JavaScript.
• Strong multitasking abilities and troubleshooting skills.
• Skilled in exploratory testing.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a dynamic environment.
