Senior Manager, Accounting - Shared Financial Services - Remote

Overview

The Senior Accounting Manager provides strong relationship-based customer service to SFS chapters, creating service and product enhancements, and serves as a leader of both people and initiatives within the department.

In Short

• Provides oversight and guidance to accounting team on financial reporting processes.
• Leads and manages a team of 8–10 accountants.
• Serves as advisor to SFS team in accounting practices.
• Participates in the implementation of new systems and processes.
• Monitors SFS chapters’ performance against budget.
• Acts as key staff person in annual internal and external audit process.
• Offers guidance for the team in the preparation of annual budget.
• Provides service and assistance related to financial reporting.
• Ensures accurate, efficient financial reporting and related processes.
• Handles sensitive information with confidentiality.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required.
• 5+ years of experience in accounting and/or financial reporting required.
• 2+ years of leadership and people management experience required.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications required.
• CPA designation a bonus.
• Experience with NetSuite strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of nonprofit organizations is preferred.
