Senior Manager, Accounting - Remote

Overview

In this newly-created role, you will report directly to the VP Finance, and serve as one of the lead point people on all accounting-related issues. This is very much a “hands on” accounting role, but you will also oversee a Staff Accountant responsible for general ledger accounting, A/P, and A/R.

In Short

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the accounting function.
• Supervise and coordinate the general ledger, month-end close and internal reporting process.
• Research technical accounting matters and prepare accounting memos.
• Be a joint owner of general ledger system (currently Quickbooks).
• Monitor and analyze monthly / quarterly operating results.
• Oversee and manage the Staff Accountant’s work.
• Assist VP Finance with preparation of annual audits.
• Oversee tax compliance and tax system management.
• Respond to inquiries from other company-wide managers.
• Develop and maintain internal controls procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA required.
• A minimum of 4-7 years accounting experience; 2-3 years supervisory experience preferred.
• Public accounting experience a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting systems.
• Highly Preferred: Based in the Denver metro area.
