As a Founding Backend Engineer, you’ll be building the backend infrastructure that powers all of it:

In Short

• Build backend infrastructure for an emotionally intelligent AI product.
• Refactor existing C#/.NET Core backend into Python (FastAPI).
• Develop robust REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Deploy and orchestrate microservices on AWS using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Manage CI/CD, monitoring, and logging.
• Integrate AI/ML systems and pipelines.
• Design emotion-aware systems that adapt to user states.
• Collaborate with product and AI teams.
• Work in a remote-first, async-friendly culture.
• Join an early-stage startup with massive ownership and impact.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in backend or full-stack development.
• Experience shipping production backends in high-growth startups.
• Proficiency in Python and modern infrastructure.
• Experience with LLM-based products and emotional intelligence.
• Strong systems thinking and performance optimization skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage backend autonomy.
