Senior Model Validation Manager - Remote

Overview

Responsible for managing the validations of the Bank’s Quantitative models in support of both economic and regulatory requirements. This includes the strategic and day-to-day management of a Model Risk Team's technical expertise and personnel needs.

In Short

• Manage the independent review and validation of complex models.
• Focus on assessing risk and validating models related to Capital Planning, CECL, and other areas.
• Participate on the Model Risk Oversight Committee as a subject matter expert.
• Responsible for strategic planning of model validation activities.
• Build strong relationships across the organization.
• Directly manage a team of 5-10 individuals.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and internal control standards.
• Conduct analysis to confirm proper controls and documentation.
• Recommend cessation of outdated or inaccurate models.
• Engage with various lines of business to manage model risk.

Requirements

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in a quantitative discipline.
• 7 years of relevant financial services experience.
• 4 years of managerial experience.
• Demonstrated technical knowledge of advanced software packages.
• Programming skills including Python.
• Familiarity with SR 11-7, SR 15-18, SOX.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and conflicts.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in model development and validation.
