Overview

The Clinical Documentation Specialist plays a vital role in the Operations team by obtaining necessary clinical and client paperwork to complete sales and secure funding for Speech Generating Devices, while ensuring compliance with medical necessity guidelines.

In Short

  • Responsible for obtaining medical records and prescriptions.
  • Audits documentation for compliance and accuracy.
  • Maintains accuracy of client records in CRM.
  • Collaborates with Sales & Operations teams.
  • Proactively identifies and removes barriers in the sales process.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills required.
  • Proficient in Adobe, Microsoft Suite, and HubSpot.
  • Maintains organized documentation and records.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.
  • Work from home with secure internet access.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s preferred.
  • 1-2 years experience in customer service or healthcare.
  • Proficient in English with strong communication skills.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with cloud-based systems and video meetings.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Professional telephone etiquette.
  • Ability to demonstrate urgency in task completion.
  • Willingness to take on new challenges.
