Clinical Documentation Specialist - Remote

Overview

The Clinical Documentation Specialist at Memorial Hermann is responsible for reviewing inpatient medical records to improve the quality of physician documentation and ensure complete and accurate coding.

Requirements

• Must be an RN with a BSN or MSN.
• At least 5 years of recent RN bedside experience.
• Prefer critical care, neuro, trauma or heart & vascular experience.
• Excellent observation and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in computer usage and documentation systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to change.
• Knowledge of federal and state payer regulations preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and positive attitude.
• Ability to educate and mentor less experienced staff.
