Head of Security - Remote

Overview

Linear is on a mission to empower product teams with an issue tracking and project management tool, and is looking for a Head of Security to lead security initiatives.

In Short

• Lead and own security initiatives across the company
• Drive improvements to application and infrastructure security
• Define product security vision and best practices
• Manage security-related hiring as the company grows
• Work closely with various teams to improve security posture
• Coordinate security incident responses and compliance efforts
• Collaborate with operations on SOC2 compliance
• Communicate security posture to customers
• Build best-in-class security controls for the product
• Assess and improve security of third-party integrations

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in product/application security
• Strong communication skills
• Deep understanding of threat modeling and risk management
• Experience with AWS or GCP
• Background in secure API development
• Hands-on experience with security tools
• Familiarity with secure coding practices
• Startup experience
• Experience integrating automated security testing into CI/CD
