Overview

LightEdge Solutions is seeking an experienced Midrange Engineer III for their IBMi platform, responsible for technical design, implementation, and support within the IBM Power environment.

In Short

• Design, implement, and support IBMi (iSeries-AS/400) platform.
• Maintain and deploy operating system upgrades and PTF installations.
• Design and maintain IBM iSeries backups using BRMS and FSFC.
• Configure and maintain MIMIX replication software.
• Provide tier-3 support for operations and applications teams.
• Assist with object implementations adhering to security best practices.
• Communicate effectively in a large enterprise environment.
• Support 24/7 on-call duties and perform hardware maintenance.
• Interface with vendor support for problem resolution.
• Provide technical support and training to NOC staff.

Requirements

• Seven years of hands-on experience with IBM Power environment.
• Knowledge of AS/400 system administration and troubleshooting.
• Experience with High Availability setup and MIMIX configuration.
• Proficiency in IBM iSeries work management and TCP/IP troubleshooting.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Skill in providing excellent customer service.
• Experience with PowerVM and VIOS is a plus.
• Knowledge of network protocols and security guidelines.
• Ability to work in a teamwork environment.
• Experience with HMC and firmware upgrades.
