Monitoring Engineer - Remote

LightEdge Solutions is developing IT solutions that propel businesses forward. The Monitoring Engineer will provide managed services support while working directly with customers on complex projects.

In Short

• Provide remote managed services support and administration.
• Work directly with clients to determine project requirements.
• Identify, correct, and advise on incidents related to managed services.
• Communicate project status to Project Managers and clients.
• Create environment design based on sales solution proposal.
• Deploy agent-based solutions to fulfill customer contracts.
• Complete policy design documentation following project completion.
• Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
• Innovate and improve service delivery continuously.
• Minimum 40 hours/week required.

Requirements

• Associate degree in IT or related discipline.
• 2+ years in a multi-tenant or MSP monitoring platform.
• Experience troubleshooting alerts and resolutions.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in operating systems (Windows, Linux).
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., SciencLogic, Zabbix).
• Scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
• Experience with server or virtualization technologies.
• Knowledge of cloud computing platforms a plus.
