Overview

The Property Risk Engineer/Consultant role involves providing risk assessment and insurance risk engineering/loss control services, serving as a technical expert, and developing technical content for underwriting and risk services.

In Short

  • Provide risk assessment and engineering services.
  • Develop technical content and training materials.
  • Maintain partnerships with Underwriting and Claims.
  • Act as a company representative at events.
  • Support business development and marketing activities.
  • Conduct risk assessments and onsite surveys.
  • Enhance brand awareness through speaking engagements.
  • Collaborate on policies and service tools.
  • Travel within Canada and the US (25-50%).
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in Property Risk Control.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Professional Engineer or C.E.T. preferred.
  • Knowledge of Property Engineering and Fire Protection.
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage stakeholders professionally.
  • Advanced French communication skills are an asset.
