As a Senior Software Engineer - Consultant at Visa, you will work on the next generation customer present payments platform, collaborating with a mission team based in Munich and Poznan.

In Short

Design and implement APIs between backend services and a mobile SDK.
Create a vision for the evolution of team-owned services.
Partner with infrastructure engineers to meet service needs via terraform.
Implement comprehensive alerting and monitoring for services.
Drive and support improvements to backend and mobile SDK APIs.
Lead projects and guide fellow engineers in complex technical topics.

Requirements

8+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
Deep understanding of Java, RESTful web-services, and microservice architecture.
Experience with Java 11 and Spring Boot.
Proficiency in writing maintainable code using TDD/BDD paradigms.
Good understanding of clean code principles.
Familiarity with Container Orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) and AWS.
