Overview

The Discounting & Deals Desk Lead is responsible for structuring and approving non-standard sales deals, ensuring compliance with pricing, margin, and revenue-recognition policies while facilitating quick business closures.

In Short

• Own the daily operation of the deals desk.
• Advise sales teams on optimal deal structures.
• Coordinate with Finance and Legal for policy alignment.
• Maintain and improve CPQ and quote-to-cash tools.
• Monitor deal metrics and deliver insights to sales leadership.
• Negotiate complex deals directly with sales leaders.
• Develop and document standard operating procedures.
• Manage and mentor a team of deal desk analysts.

Requirements

• 5 to 8 years in deal desk or sales operations roles.
• Minimum 2 years leading a small team.
• Expertise in structuring complex commercial agreements.
• Familiarity with quote-to-cash processes and CPQ platforms.
• Strong understanding of revenue-recognition and discounting policies.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Advanced analytical skills with spreadsheets and CRM reports.
• Experience in a high-growth B2B or SaaS environment is a plus.
