Fractional HR Manager (Part-Time, Remote)

Overview

We are seeking a Fractional HR Manager to join our team on a part-time, remote basis, working 5-10 hours per week. This role is ideal for an experienced HR professional who is knowledgeable with compliance, and fosters a positive workplace culture in a flexible, virtual environment. You will partner with leadership to support Level Workforce's HR initiatives.

In Short

• Provide guidance and support for a small team of HR Specialists, Recruiters, and Payroll Specialists.
• Collaborate with leadership to assess staffing needs and plan for layoffs or growth.
• Create job descriptions, analyze compensation, and set role expectations.
• Develop and maintain an Employee Handbook and onboarding checklists.
• Recommend training programs for employee growth and develop training materials.
• Conduct performance reviews and create role-specific appraisal documentation.
• Analyze market salary ranges and determine benefit options.
• Resolve employee issues and conduct investigations.
• Design team-building activities and establish vacation/PTO policies.
• Write, update, or revise company policies to ensure compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or a related field (preferred but not required).
• Familiarity with HR applications (e.g., HRIS, applicant tracking systems).
• In-depth knowledge of HR principles, practices, and procedures.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with employees at all levels.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
• Knowledge of federal and state employment laws (e.g., Title VII, ADA, FLSA).
• Strong organizational and communication skills to work independently.
• SPHR, PHR or SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP certification a plus.
