Overview

The South Asia Legal Counsel is responsible for providing comprehensive legal support and guidance to ensure compliance and mitigate legal risks across all business operations for the Lesaffre Group in South Asia Countries.

In Short

• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts.
• Advising business stakeholders on contractual matters.
• Managing external legal advisors for contract review.
• Providing legal support on corporate matters.
• Monitoring disputes and managing litigation matters.
• Coordinating legal updates on laws and regulations.
• Assessing legal training needs and organizing training.
• Ensuring compliance with corporate laws and regulations.
• Participating in safety activities and compliance.
• Regular travel across Asia and occasionally to Europe.

Requirements

• 7 to 10 years of experience as a lawyer, preferably in manufacturing.
• Good understanding of corporate and contract laws in Southeast Asia.
• Excellent drafting and negotiation skills in English.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in legal research tools and document management systems.
• Familiarity with corporate governance best practices.
• Team spirit and ability to build a strong team.
• Willingness to travel regularly across Asia.
